| April 19th, 2026 07:13:09 EDT -0400 HVO Kilauea YELLOW/ADVISORY - Kīlauea summit eruption in Halemaʻumaʻu is paused. Forecasting suggests lava fountaining episode 45 will occur between Monday 4/20 and Saturday 4/25. Apr 18, 2026 18:48 - Overview:The summit eruption of Kīlauea in Halemaʻumaʻu is paused. Overall summit region inflation has continued since the end of episode 44 on April 9. In the past 24 hours, the summit region inflated for most of the time, with a switch to slow delfation early this morning. Strong and continuous glow, with frequent flames, have been visible at the south vent over the past day. Forecast models suggest that lava fountaining episode 45 will occur sometime between Monday, April 20 and Saturday, April 25.No significant activity has been noted along Kīlauea’s East Rift ... |
| April 19th, 2026 07:13:09 EDT -0400 AVO Great Sitkin ORANGE/WATCH - Slow eruption of lava within the summit crater continues. Apr 18, 2026 18:23 - Slow lava effusion continues within the Great Sitkin summit crater. Over the past day, seismic data recorded frequent rockfalls from the growing lava dome. Web camera and satellite views were cloudy. The current lava eruption began in July 2021 and, since then, has filled most of the summit crater and advanced into valleys below. There have been no explosions at Great Sitkin Volcano since an event in May 2021. The volcano is monitored using local seismic and infrasound sensors, satellite data, webcams, and regional infrasound and lightning networks. |
| April 19th, 2026 07:13:09 EDT -0400 AVO Shishaldin YELLOW/ADVISORY - Low-level unrest continues, with infrasound, and tremor observed. Sulfur dioxide plume observed in satellite data. Apr 18, 2026 18:23 - Unrest persists at Shishaldin Volcano, with seismic and infrasound activity remaining elevated over the past day. A strong sulfur dioxide plume was observed in satellite data. with the degassing plume visible in satellite and web camera views when weather conditions were clear. Local seismic and infrasound sensors, web cameras, and a geodetic network are used to monitor Shishaldin Volcano. In addition to the local monitoring network, AVO uses nearby geophysical networks, regional infrasound and lightning data, and satellite images to detect eruptions. |
| April 19th, 2026 07:13:09 EDT -0400 CVO Cascade Range GREEN/NORMAL - All volcanoes are at normal levels. Apr 17, 2026 21:34 - Activity Update: All volcanoes in the Cascade Range of Oregon and Washington are at normal background activity levels. These include Mount Baker, Glacier Peak, Mount Rainier, Mount St. Helens, and Mount Adams in Washington State and Mount Hood, Mount Jefferson, Three Sisters, Newberry, and Crater Lake in Oregon.Past Week Observations: A few small earthquakes were detected during the past week at Mount St. Helens and Mount Rainier. All monitoring data are consistent with background activity levels in the Cascade Range. |
| April 19th, 2026 07:13:09 EDT -0400 NMI Ahyi Seamount UNASSIGNED/UNASSIGNED - Plume of discolored water observed in satellite image this week. Apr 16, 2026 22:02 - High-resolution satellite imagery revealed a point source plume of discolored water near Ahyi Seamount on April 10 and a diffuse plume on April 13. No signs of volcanic activity or unrest were detected in data from remote underwater pressure sensors, nor were there any other indicators suggesting significant unrest. The last time a similar plume was visible in satellite imagery was on April 8, 2026; however, persistent cloud cover and limited availability of high-quality satellite images have made it challenging to monitor such occurrences consistently. There are no local ... |

Apr 14, 2026 17:39 - Monitored CALIFORNIA VOLCANOESCurrent Volcano Alert Level: all NORMALCurrent Aviation Color Code: all GREENActivity Update: All volcanoes monitored by CalVO show normal background earthquake activity and deformation. Monitored volcanoes include Mount Shasta, Medicine Lake Volcano, Lassen Volcanic Center, Clear Lake Volcanic Field, Long Valley Volcanic Region, Coso Volcanic Field, Ubehebe Craters, and Salton Buttes. Past Week Observations for April 06 (0000h PDT) to April 12 (2359h PDT):Typical seismicity was recorded at The Geysers geothermal field south of the Clear Lake ... |
| April 19th, 2026 07:13:09 EDT -0400 AVO Atka volcanic complex GREEN/NORMAL - Decreased seismicity and gas detections. Apr 13, 2026 23:47 - Seismic activity, sulfur dioxide emissions, and thermal anomalies at Korovin Volcano (located within the Atka Volcanic Complex) have declined over the past couple weeks and are now at background levels. The Aviation Color Code and the Alert Level for the Atka Volcanic Complex are being lowered to GREEN/NORMAL. Small explosive events can occur at Korovin Volcano without significant precursory unrest. Fallout of ash from such events is unlikely to extend beyond the upper flanks of the volcano. |
| April 19th, 2026 07:13:09 EDT -0400 HVO Ofu-Olosega GREEN/NORMAL - No activity of concern for Ofu-Olosega. Apr 2, 2026 18:49 - No significant activity was detected at Ofu-Olosega volcano during the past month. The USGS National Earthquake Information Center reported no earthquakes of magnitude 2.5 or greater in the vicinity of the volcano. |

The USGS National Earthquake Information Center reported no earthquakes of magnitude 2.5 or greater in the vicinity of the volcano. Local residents reported a landslide occurring on March 26, 2026 SST, between Ta‘ū and Fiti‘uta, but the event is not readily visible on the local monitoring station data. A Global Positioning System (GPS) instrument on Taʻū Island recorded no significant deformation. The FAGA broadband seismometer located on eastern Taʻū Island is currently out of service. ... |

| April 19th, 2026 07:13:09 EDT -0400 HVO Mauna Loa GREEN/NORMAL - Mauna Loa earthquake counts slightly decreased in March, and inflationary ground deformation continued. Apr 2, 2026 18:36 - Mauna Loa had decrease in seismic activity compared to the previous month, with clustering of events under Mokuʻāweoweo and the upper Southwest Rift Zone still present. A total of 86 earthquakes were detected beneath Mauna Loa's summit region in the February reporting period, while the prior month had 116 earthquakes. Data from Global Positioning System (GPS) instruments on Mauna Loa show variable rates of inflation at the summit over the past six months. This is associated with refilling of the summit reservoir system following the 2022 eruption.Gas and temperature ... |
| April 19th, 2026 07:13:09 EDT -0400 HVO Kama'ehuakanaloa UNASSIGNED/UNASSIGNED - No activity of concern for Kamaʻehuakanaloa.
